Accessibility
How accessible this website is, and how to tell us if something isn't working for you.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to read this site and get in touch with us. This site has been built to target WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What has been done
- Text and background colours meet AA contrast ratios, including the brand pink, which was darkened for text on colour
- Every interactive element has a visible keyboard focus outline
- The menu and the frequently asked questions work with a keyboard alone
- Pages use real headings and landmarks, so screen readers can navigate by structure
- Images have meaningful alternative text, or are marked decorative
- The site works without JavaScript, including the contact form
- Animation is limited, and is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion
- Layout has been checked down to 320 pixels wide
Known gaps
We haven’t yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit or tested this site with real assistive-technology users, and we should before this site is treated as finished. Specific things we know we haven’t verified:
- Colour-blindness simulation testing hasn’t been run, though no part of the site relies on colour alone to convey information
- We haven’t tested with a screen reader on every combination of browser and operating system, only the most common ones
- Any page you reach through an error (for example, our hosting provider’s own error pages, if our site is ever briefly unavailable) follows that provider’s accessibility standards, not ours
We’ll update this section once a full audit has been carried out.
